HOT SPRINGS (NC)

Hot Springs, NC has been a resort destination since the early 1800s. It is known by many for its healing mineral springs and beautiful mountain settings. Waters at the resort are said to be a constant 102 degrees, making the town and the resort a haven for those seeking a healthful mountain retreat. Hot Springs is on a scenic route designated as Appalachian Medley Scenic Byway. Also, the 2,100-mile Appalachian Trail runs down the main street of Hot Springs then crosses the French Broad River and climbs back into the mountains.
