CRABTREE FALLS

Crabtree Falls is a 70' high waterfalls located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. There is a trail loop which is about two miles in length. The trail is rated strenuous and estimated time to complete the loop is 1.5-3.0 hours. To get down to the falls takes about 45 minutes. I can assure you it took me longer than that to get back to the parking area. I do not recommend this trail for anyone with heart or respiratory problems. As you can see from my pictures, the trail and the falls are beautiful, but I doubt I'll be making anymore trips to this beautiful falls. For those interested in seeing it, I'll get you there, point the way, watch the bikes and wait on you.
